01 · What counts
AI models learn real work from real examples. The procedures, tickets and project histories your team has built up are what AI developers can't source anywhere else.
micro1 licenses this data, anonymized, to train AI systems, and compensates the companies that provide it.
02 · Who qualifies
These are micro1's published criteria. If you're unsure, the fit check is the quickest way to find out.
At least 30 full-time staff.
Established workflows, documented in SOPs, knowledge bases and internal processes.
Substantial records in your tools, such as CRM data, support tickets and project histories.
Primarily in English. US companies come first, then other Western markets.
03 · How it works
There's no fixed timeline: it depends on your data and your legal review.
Start with step 01Step 01 · With me
A short call or email exchange about your company, tools and records. You get an honest view on whether it's worth applying.
Step 02 · You
You create a company profile through my referral link and complete a data manifest: a description of the data you hold, not the data itself.
Step 03 · micro1
micro1's team assesses the fit. If it's a match, a Data Partnership Manager discusses scope and licensing terms with you.
Step 04 · You and micro1
You sign, the data is transferred under the agreement, micro1 handles anonymization, and you're compensated as agreed.
04 · Your data
Handled under strict contractual protections, and never shared publicly.
Your company keeps ownership of its underlying data.
micro1 handles anonymization and coordination, so the effort for your team stays low.
You can review samples before the data is used.
05 · Your partner
I'm Thijs Vos. I've spent the last years training and evaluating AI models for leading AI companies, so I know what AI data teams look for. If your company is unlikely to qualify, I'll tell you upfront.
Transparency
If your company becomes a partner, micro1 pays me a referral fee. It costs you nothing.

What you get
A new revenue stream from records you already have. micro1 pays $100K to $2M+ per approved data package, with nothing new to build, sell or hire for.
micro1 prices each package on quality, uniqueness, size, workflow complexity and domain expertise. Large datasets or several teams taking part reach $500K to $2M, and rare proprietary data can go beyond $2M.
In full, not in installments. micro1 reviews your data within 30 days, you invoice once it's accepted, and payment follows within 30 days. The program runs on a $1 billion commitment financed with capital from Citi and Hercules Capital.
Yes. You license it and keep ownership of the underlying data. It's held apart from other companies' data, and the raw files are deleted on an agreed schedule, on request or when the engagement ends.
What it takes
Mostly internal sign-off and the transfer itself. micro1 identifies which datasets are licensable and handles de-identification, so nothing needs anonymizing on your side.
Personal information is removed or transformed before anything reaches third parties, access is limited to authorized staff, and data is licensed only to labs and enterprises in the US and allied countries. You can review representative samples first.
Nothing, and no data changes hands. The fit check is a conversation, the application only asks for a description of your data, and nothing is transferred until you sign. If you become a partner, micro1 pays my referral fee, not you.
An honest read on your fit before your team spends time on it, and help with a data manifest that shows everything you hold that's licensable. You can always apply directly instead.
